The Legacy Continues… On Monday, August 3rd in the nation's capitol, home of the first African American President and First Lady of the United States, Shayna Rudd made history when she was crowned "Miss Black USA 2009". The 23 year old Philadelphia native wowed the Celebrity Panel of Judges with a dance performance to the gospel song "Lord, I Know I've Been Changed!". Rudd holds a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Journalism from Howard University and is currently pursuing an MBA at Trinity University. Rudd founded Lady Diva corporation, a non-profit corporation to empower young African American women. She is also an educator in the District of Columbia Public School System.
