She’s a triple threat… Ashley Miller represents the next generation of first ladies of the United States. She is smart, beautiful and athletic. A staunch advocate of HIV/AIDS Awareness, Prevention and Education, Ashley has committed her year as Miss Black Ohio USA 2010 to educating as many people as possible about a disease that is rising at alarming rates in the African American community. The former All-Time Leading Female Rebounder and Cum Ladue graduate of Berea College is taking her message of HIV/AIDS awareness to the streets.
Ashley states “HIV and AIDS are preventable diseases currently plaguing over forty million people worldwide, contracted every six and half seconds, and followed by death in every ten seconds.” The Nurse Practitioner and leading Clinician at Planned Parenthood will deliver the message with what she calls her best asset, her “contagious smile.”
The pageant veteran has an impressive list of outstanding accomplishments including: member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, Fleur de Lis Honor Society. She states her younger brother, Keith Jr., has been her motivation to be a success in life. She is most proud of being the first member of her immediate family to graduate from college. As the current spokesperson for STOP AIDS in Cincinnati, Ohio, Ashley will no doubt make her mark in the State of Ohio and serve as a positive role model for young women of color. Ashley is the daughter of Keith Miller and Michelle Crider and resides in Cincinnati, Ohio.
